Who Is Demeco Ryans?

Ryans is an American football coach for the 49ers, born on July 28, 1984, in Bessemer, Alabama.

Ryan began his playing career in Jess Lanier High School in Bessemer.

As an high school senior, he recorded 135 tackles, 11 sacks, two forced fumbles, and two interceptions.

He committed to play college football for the University of Alabama, and played as an outside linebacker, under coach Mike Shula.

While at Alabama, he was named a unanimous All-American.

Demeco Ryan Playing And Coaching Career

In 2016, Ryan was drafted by the Houston Texans in the second round of the NFL Draft for that year, and went ahead to win the Defensive Rookie of the Year.

He participated in two Pro Bowls and was later traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, where he played for four seasons until retirement.

In 2017, Ryan was hired by the San Francisco 49ers as an assistant coach for the linebackers and later as a defensive coach.

He led the 49ers defence to a successful season. He got the opportunity to be head coach for the Minnesota Vikings, but committed to remain with the 49ers.
