Our hair is our crowning glory, but when it comes to fragrancing our bouffants, it seems to be the very last thing we think about. 

The porous shafts of our hair lend themselves well to carrying fragrance, but according to the experts spraying perfume is a huge no-no as the alcohol in perfume can damage the delicate fibres of our locks. That’s where hair mist comes in.

Desperately trying to force her hair to conform to beauty ideals seen across magazines and in the media Noa Souffir Tordjman spent her adolescence desperate to tame her natural curls and hair density.

After countless hours using badly suited products and damage inducing tools, she took matters into her own hands and after two years of research, and a personal hair care journey that lasted over twelve years, she founded Blab'Hair in 2021. What’s the difference between hair mist and perfume?

“Unlike perfume, a good hair mist is alcohol-free, which entering spring and hopefully sunnier days is a USP to add to your scent collection,” explains Tordjman, “Spraying alcohol on your body usually leads to sun marks, skin damage and uneven, patchy tan marks. Similarly, a mist being alcohol-free is much kinder to your clothes. Summer brides should pay attention to their scent as alcohol can be highly damaging to fabrics.”

Should you use hair mist on wet or dry hair?

“Use on dry hair for the most long-standing effects. I recommend around three spritzes into hair, and scrunching it into lengths. Keep it in your bathroom or handbag for whenever the moment calls.”

What does a hair mist do?

“Hair mist is to be used in the same way as a traditional perfume so you can spray it on your body and hair while you're getting ready and, on your hair, when you leave the house. It is designed to refresh and rejuvenate by adding a delicate scent,” explains Tordjman.
