Big Ang Dead at 55: 'Mob Wives' Cast, Fellow Reality Stars React

Big Ang‘s loved ones are in mourning. The Mob Wives cast and fellow reality TV personalities paid tribute on Thursday, February 18, following the star’s death from cancer at age 55.

Marissa Jade spoke with Us Weekly following her costars passing. “So many fond memories come to mind with Angela — one of them being filming the art class in the Hamptons. We had a few heart to hearts together,” she told Us in a statement. “Angela was a great person and fun to be around. I won’t forget the great times we had together in Miami.”

Some of Big Ang’s friends also took to Twitter. “RIP ANGELA .. FOREVER IN MY [HEART],” Renee Graziano tweeted.

“My beautiful friend is with the Angels now,” Carla Facciolo added via Instagram. “Angela u will be missed more than anyone I [know]!” she captioned the pic. “U were so loved by so many ppl .. May u rest in peace my friend . I love you & I will miss you #BigAng.”

As previously reported, Big Ang (real name: Angela Raiola) had been battling stage IV lung and brain cancer. She passed away at 3:01 a.m. in a New York City hospital.

“She was surrounded by nothing but love from her immediate family, and closest friends. YOU, (Her fans) were some of the most special people in the world, and she loved you immensely,” her friend Vinnie Medugno tweeted from the star’s Twitter account.

“Thank you for your love, prayers, and unconditional support of Angela right to the very end. She truly went out richer than any monetary value could ever amount to. The family asks for privacy, and peace during this most difficult time,” the message continued. “In typical Big Ang fashion, we know she would say ‘Love you my babies!’ This page will remain open as a celebration of who she was and will always be. It has been my esteemed privilege and honor to represent her in the highest regard via social media. Vinnie Medugno.”

Big Ang was also known for her self-titled show Big Ang (2012), Couples Therapy (2015) and 2013’s Scary Movie 5.
